From the information I've read when I was researching the process as well as many first hand accounts from people who rely on the process I have confidence in it. Read up a little on how the process works and from a metallurgical standpoint it really does make sense. Many ambulance, fire truck, and police cars rely on the process for their rotors....obviously they abuse their brakes on a daily basis and they've realistically extended their rotors lifespan dramatically after treating. I've spoken with road racing guys who would go through a set of Baer rotors like nothing and after cryo treating have realistically more than doubled or tripled the lifespan of them.
I really wanted to get the internals of my new engine treated, but I didn't have the extra $500 or so +shipping to get them done...the engine was costing me big money already that I really didn't have yet.....
This is one of the most popular processes that is talked about the least. To put it into financial perspective nearly every aluminum baseball bat has this treatment. It is very common and drastically affects the failure properties of metal.
this kid at work is gettin almost anything he can cryo treated on his honda. like all the interals of the engine and trans, brake rotors. i think is cost him $350 to get it all done. luckly the guy lives close so i think i might get my bbc done. like the rods , pistons and crank.
