Mother PowerBall review.

well i have polished aluminum rims and unfortunately i got stuck in the rain with the car, which is a very very very rare occasion. Well needless to say i had to wash and wax the car . Well i looked at the rims and they had water spots on them , since i dont use anything like carnuba or anything since i never drive in the rain i dont need it . So i just recieved by powerball and polish from ebay for 36 with shipping and the money order. Let me just say this thing is awesome. Took about 20 min to do all the wheels and it looks great . Its just so much faster and my hands dont kill from doing it . Its a major time saver if you have polished rims and i deffy reccomend getting one . best money ive spent on cleaning supplies in a while . If your thinkin about doing it do it . The polish also seemed to work good, i dont know if their is anything better than the mothers stuff, but it worked fine . But deffy a great product and i reccomend it totally .

Have dirty rims, then Flitz it!

Good to see that the powerball product worked. It's not too dissimilar from that Flitz ball advertized.

Well I bought this week and i got to say its excellent. I used them on my centerline scorpions with the mother billet polish and let me tell ya i made a big difference.I clean my rims every other week so they were really shiny to begin with but once i hit it with the power ball made them look pracitaly new and ive had my rim a little over 3 years....

Will the powerball work on my stock 91-92 z28 wheels. The problem i have is that my front wheels have like brake dust permantly lodged into the little crevices of each spoke and i cant really get them clean...

if they are stripped of the clear and paint it might work but would take a wile being it has a machined finish on the face and cast inside the wheel.
i used it and im not sure about it. i used mine 2 weeks ago and afterwards the one wheel i did turned out pretty good. i will say it was a bit faster than usual when polishing as i pull the wheel so i can get better access to it. im gonna try some of my american wheel cleaner with it and see how that goes.

I used it on my Torque Thrust ]['s and used the Mother's Aluminum Mag Polush (paste) (in white container) and all it did was smear the polish around. When I tried to get into tight areas, it started to rips little pieces off.

I cleaned it and got my money back!

However I am now wondering if perhaps I should be using LIQUID polish instead?

I have to agree with you. it was piece of carp and it killed the shine on my super ram and made it cloudy and dull. On the other hand, it was way too messy. Their polish liquid was all over my face.

I use Mother's billet polish and I apply it by hand. This stuff is fantastic.

....I haven't tried the ball yet. Seems most don't like it from everything I've heard. That being said, if it works for you, go with it!

my ball tore up a little, but my rims on my truck have jagged edges, not like the ball is gonna wear out in a few uses anyways. worked wonders on my pro star rims with mothers paste polish....went much quicker than by hand.

I used the powerball on my wheels with the mothers mag wheel paste and it worked great. It worked the polish in and put an excellent shine on my wheels. It didn't fall apart at all either. The best part is when your done you can wash it in dish soap and it goes back to new condition. I guess i got a good one.

no, it will not work for something like that. you'll need to take metal off of the rim by truly polishing the weel before that can be removed and there is not guarantee. better care of you next set of wheels would be best.

it isn't meant to get in really small areas that you would find on most wheels, do that by hand. it's meant to get the easy to see areas which still cuts time down dramatically. also, the proper chemical would be a liquid, not paste and if it's messy your using too much. i use too much but i don't mind it being messy as long as it works.

lastly, if your tearing pieces off your trying to get to areas you should be doing by hand.

you used the wrong polish for the metal you were working with. using this on a superram is pretty lazy as well. the super ram really should be done by hand and using a all purpose metal polish such as blue magic metal polish.

What about using the Mini version? Would be easier to get into the smaller places.. Likely easier to handle..

I bought the Mothers big and small ball and i use the Blue Magic wheel cleaner instead of Mothers Mag polish , Blue Magic works great on aluminum wheels, but on sharp edges or in some places the balls will start to come apart. JR1.

i havent had a chance to use it again on my wheels but i used it on a gauge cluster lens and all i gotta say is its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay wicked!!!!
i used the liquid polish to remove some simi etched places on my cluster and it took a good bit of them out.
no burn spots, no scratching, actually it took some of the scratches out and made the surface smoother.
i give it a thumbs up on plastic!

Well I did a product review today the Mothers Powerball MINI on the rims and was Not impressed.. I'll be supplying pics and video soon.

basically I didn't notice a Single difference and in fact I found it takes MORE time that you could by hand.

I also found the Power Metal Aluminum polish was horrible. It's basically WATERY and you need to add so much cause it's just turns to nothing on the rims so quickly.. I would easily find me using so much to work that I would eat up bottles of that stuff.. And at $12 a bottle.. not cheap.

But I'll post my full review soon.

I can't belive we are having bad reviers on this product. I think some people are using the wrong polish for metal they are working with. I have polished my aftermarket Irocs many times with the Power Metal Polish and i will never do it by hand again. Amazing results!!! I used the powerball on about 20 barstewls that were alluminum and this thing has been flawless. It cleans up really easy and i have seen no signs of it falling apart. They even have a mini version that i am going to get real soon for my polished intake.

i'm giving it thumbs up as well. did a great job on my rims when i used the liquid polish that is supposed to go with it. those who need to get into smaller areas need to use the mini version.

i gave mine another try tonight but i didnt use the drill i normally use, i used my cordless Ryobi. being i could control the speed it was WAY less messy and didnt burn up the liquid polish. i allowed me to rub it in longer and didnt dry out.
this is the result if it loads.
