I just hope they are still going to sell it when I get around to buying one in a few years from now!
I can't see BMR being out of business....Quality products at reasonable pricing. - Just put their tq arm on Dans87GTA. - NICE piece.

Re: PA racing tubular K-Member. not happy with PA racing..

We need to keep this active....

OR, have things changed since 2006?

I am in the process of ordering a K Member to go to an LS1, but the price is meaningless if service is non existant or the products don't work as advertised?

lmk what the more recent results of these PA racing parts are?

Thanks
Jim

Re: PA racing tubular K-Member. not happy with PA racing..

Wow, I almost bought a PA racing K member and bumped into this thread checking around for options before doing it. I thought it was pretty inexpensive, but that also concerned me. While I do think other companies over charge, at least a little, that is usually because providing good service and doing real R&D is more expensive, plus they make a name for themselves that brings more money, etc.

I was hoping, PA being a newer company, was trying to get in the door and prove their product with lower pricing to accomplish the customer levels they needed to get things going.
...
Bummer, now its another few weeks before I can order the parts I need. Since it will be $950 rather then $650 for front arms and a K member from Spohn or BMR.

I need a torque arm and trans mount too, since i'll be running a 4L60E.

Money money money, only way it could be worse is if I was playing with a Corvette, LOL!

Sorry for the hijack but how are you controlling the 4L60E?

I went PA on my k-member and a-arms. After recieving them and the powder coating looking like sh!t. I blasted them. Only to find several bad welds. Not to mention I had to pay to get them recoated. Will not buy again.

Re: PA racing tubular K-Member. not happy with PA racing..

1989GTATransAm, no problem for me, haha.

I am using a wiring harness and PCM out of a matching car/truck. You can use one from a Silverado/Tahoe/Camaro/Firebird, etc. As long as it's an LS series engine and 4L60 or 4L80 trans, the the engine/trans harness connectors are the same and in the same harness as well.

The only issue after that is speedo, OBD2 connector, fuel pump and hooking up battery, ground and ignition wires to the harness.

The forum pages list a lot of good threads that go into a lot of good detail about the swap.

Oh ya, LOL, no PA racing stuff then for me. I would rather spend $1,000 up front, rather then spend $750, then $1,000 replacing it all.

Re: PA racing tubular K-Member. not happy with PA racing..

I have had my K member and A arms from PA for well over a year now and have driven the car on 1000 mile round trips and no problems whatsoever. I never had to use tech support, my mechanic put the kmember in and said it was a pain but it went in. Ive heard the same about spohn, BMR, etc.

Sorry to hear that some have had bad luck but i bet if you looked hard enough you find the same for Spohn, BMR, etc. These companies drop the ball from time to time, its to be expected. O well, happy racing!
