Due to the Eibach fan base on these boards, I doubt many use the Hypercos. I don't have them either, but I, too, was curious enough to check them out awhile back.
From my phone call to Hyperco, they've been manufacturing springs in conjunction with Bilstein for the auto racing industry for decades, and their spring rates are all progressive. So theoretically, Hyperco springs and Bilstein shocks would be an ideal combination.
Some say progressive rate springs are good because they provide for a nice ride, but stiffen under load for firm handling. Yet others say that's not good because the lower end of the rate could allow for too soft a normal ride. As for the rates themselves, according to what I've read on these boards, the higher end of the (progressive) rates as selected for thirdgens are close to, but a bit higher than, stock WS6 spring rates.
But Hyperco doesn't actually put together kits for cars. They sell springs by size(diameter and height) and rate. So if Hawks is selling a 'kit' for our cars, then Hawks must've assembled, what it determined to be, a "right" combination of front and rear springs for a thirdgen.
I was considering them at one time, too. But my reason for not using them was a silly one, based soley on asthetics. They're BLUE... due to the 'Bilstein effect.' So I just couldn't do it, lol! Nothing but black(or sometimes a touch of grey) goes into, onto or under(in this case) my car!
