Don't buy Zenn lowering springs!

The fronts are starting to settle and look pretty good. The problem is the rear springs are too soft and drop the car down WAY too low. I had to put my old springs back on the rear. I may cut half a coil off the stock rear springs after the fronts settle to even things out. I bought these lowering springs on eBay after seeing good feedback from people that had bought the same ones for their Camaro. I guess they had not installed them yet!

They have an advertised drop of 1.7" front and rear. I would say it's more like 1.7" front and 3" rear. The ride was horrible with the rear springs on and made my car look like it was hauling bricks!

$120 shipped

Here's a pic of the before and after with Zenn springs on the front. It's been less than a week, so they may settle a little more.

So why not put a spring rubber spacer in it to boost the spring rate and lift up the back?

I may try that later on, but right now I would rather not look at a spring for a while. Plus I need to see how low the front is going to settle before I try to get the rear right.

Yeah, no ground effects for me. I think they look more like an old muscle car without them. When I first got it, I was going to conform and slap some ground effects on it, but I don't like being a sheep.

I searched on these boards for Zenn springs before I purchased them and couldn't find anything. I guess I'm the first member to try them. Lucky me!

I don't have any heavy stereo equipment in the back either. Here's what the rear Zenn springs look like compared to stock.

Maybe they were too hard instead of too soft? It felt like I had a 2x4 in place of the spring and bounced all over the place like a lowrider. I'm pretty sure it was on the bumpstops though. When it warms up, I'll put the rear springs back on and take some more pictures to show how low they are.

Has any body else had issues with the Zenn springs. Bad or good, as I am looking at getting some new springs.

I installed them and both isolaters are there.

I like your car! That's the stance I want mine to have. Did you trim the bumpstops on yours? If so, how much?

I was afraid that if I took them completely off, my shocks would bottom out. I have searched on here for info about the rear bumpstops, but haven't found much. A few people said they trimmed them some.

Yes DO NOT buy ZENN lowering spring kit cause they are too soft you will be bottom out eventually i would recommended stick with TEIN lowering spring kit it just about $100 different price and you will never regret.

youll find them on ebay.i bought a set last year and installed them without any issues. my car sits just fine.if you dont have the springs in the right positions then u will have issues with how the ride height looks.

Aww.. That's a jaw-dropping experience too. I never tried Zenn though. I never tried trimming my springs cause that's exactly I'm afraid to happened.
