Shaft mount rockers

Just curious if any of you are running shaft mount rockers? If you are, what are you running, how much did they set you back and how do you like them?

Thanks!

I personally haven't got to run mine yet. I've seen the differences between roller rockers and shaft mounts on the dyno. You have to watch out though, as some of the lesser $ units don't change the geometry, thus have no real gain over standard roller rockers. - If you haven't already, CHP had an article about Jesel that's good reading. It explains the differences and what the gains are.

I got Miller 1.6's for the 380ci(destroke combo) when it and the car are done. I believe it was $500 or $600, not sure off the top of my head, I'd have to check.

I've been running Yella Terra shaft mount rockers for about a year now, they are made in Australia. I had never heard of Yella Terra but my engine builder had used them in many engines and highly recommended them. The quality seems to be very good, I haven't had any trouble with them. They cost about $700-750. It was money well spent in my opinion, its not much more than buying a good set of roller rockers and a stud girdle. I'll gladly pay a little extra for the durability and valve train stability, not to mention its a lot easier than having to deal with a stud girdle.

Hey Travis,

Yeah sort of. I have been engine-less for 2 years, now I am finally making things happen. I am selling my Aluminum heads on ebay right now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dart-...spagenameZWDVW

I bought a set of Pro Action 235cc iron heads with CNC chambers, I am going to run those on my shortblock since I don't have a lot of high dollar parts in it. It should still make good power, but if I hang a valve I won't be out a set of $1500 AFR heads. 12:1 383, Pro Action 235's, Solid Roller 262/266@.050, .665/.625, 106 LSA, single plane intake, shaft rockers and a 1050 Dominator with 1 7/8" Hooker headers. Trying to build a fast DOT tire car, we'll see how well it works.

Ebay ended my first auction because I put Brodix and AFR in the title, here is the relisting in case any of you were bidding on them:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260058523845

It will be all motor with this shortblock, it will stay under 7500 rpm.

No kidding, and why did they have to delete my original auction. Oh well, mark my words (I can see the future...) google is going to come out with a better online auction site with no listing fees and ebay is going to be screwed .
