hello, il give you something to ponder. cars are not cheep. you pay to play with cars my friend. i started the same as you, trying to keep a budget car, well my friends, im down $2000 and i dont even have a part on my car yet, they are all being finished to my likeing. when summer hits il probably be pushing 400+ hp with a bit more time and cash. anywho i agree with the everyone elce here, read, and watch. great site here, but people cant help you very much if you dont explain. no one is in your garage looking at your car with you so you got to give every detail. i learned that to in my first 20 posts

. anywho to get started, with a budget of around 300-500 bucks, start simple. upgrade coil, wires, plugs, cap roter. then afpr (adjustable fuel presure regulator) should give you some more punch. coolent by pass. custom cold air intake with k&N. local exhaust shop would do a 3.5 inch for around 50 bucks plus a K&N for around 60. porting is key for the plenum. egr stuff could go. then try some headers and exhaust. i may be pushing more than 500 bucks there but its a start.
