Car: 1989 Formula WS6 Engine: L03 305 TBI Transmission: T-5 | Well, I'm glad to see any new suppliers stocking parts, but those prices are pretty stiff.
Obviously, he's setting his prices by demand, not cost+profit margin. It's the only thing that would explain 3.42s costing 150.00 more than 3.73s.
Description List price USD
3.23 Ratio CWP $312.12
3.45 Ratio CWP $450.77
3.73 Ratio CWP $304.50
3.91 Ratio CWP $355.19
4.10 Ratio CWP $414.15 |

Car: 87 IROC Engine: 406 Transmission: 700r4 Axle/Gears: 3.70 | I am not sure....but that was my hope since I desperately need cones as well. They stated they will be adding more goodies after christmas. If it turns out they are not including cones with the "goodies", then we can request them to. They were quick to add the gearsets for me. |

Car: 1986 Pontiac TA Engine: 406 Transmission: 700R4 | I needed to change my carrier when I went from the 2.77 to the 3.27 gears. Unless they make a thicker ring gear, you will need to do the same. |

Where did you get it was it from one of the companys mentioned above ?
Sorry questions i am not that used to the 9bolt as i have just bought the car earlier did have a 2gen and those 8.5 did have the same carrier all the way from 2.73 and up.
Would really love to go to a 3.27/3.42 gearing something.

Car: 88 5.7 IROC/95 LT1 Corvette Engine: All 5.7's Transmission: 700R4/ZF6 | This is like a dream come true! All we need now is posi cones, carriers and axles and we can totally rebuild everything starting with the case. I've been searching for 9 bolt parts for 2 years now! Got a used 3 series carrier on Ebay for $150 and was considering 3.70 gears because that was all that was available. Now I have options. If I knew how hard this was going to be I would have taken better care of the original diff! Anyone got a source for axles? Thanks to Midwest PD for taking care of this splinter of the market!

Car: 1991 L03 700r4 RS Engine: 1987 WS6 Trans AM Lb2 Transmission: Th350 red neck Performance 3k stall Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt from the 87 WS6 donor | I'm beginning to think the purchase of my 9 bolt in fact was a mistake, perhaps I should've put the money into adapting a 9in to fit my car. Don't the GTO's have the same ring and pinion as our 3rd gens? How about the new Pontiac G8 and the other Holden cars? I just don't understand why if these parts are still used in production cars, they're so expensive. |
