Dart or Brodix

I was wondering if anyone has used the Dart Pro 1 Aluminum head top end combo kit that they sell in Jegs or Summit and how much power they give and so forth. Same thing goes for the Brodix top end kit. Anything info will help.

Re: Dart or Brodix

Never used either but CHP did a really good writeup on the Dart heads.

Re: Dart or Brodix

i would go with the brodix heads.last year i had trickflow 23* aluminum heads with the spring upgrade, 1.5 aluminum roller rockers, mac 1 5/8 mid length headers w/ 2 1/2 y pipe into three inch single and the old tune. this year i went with the brodix m2 t1 fully cnc'd heads, hooker super comp long tubes, custom y pipe with 3 inch pipes into 4 inch collector, 1.6 comp cams pro magnum rockers, and it was retuned this past saturday. its a miniramed 385 stroker with a zzx cam by the way. took almost 7 hours to get it right but it runs like a scalded dog now! special thanks to hal cericola for the sweet tune and jim ford's dyno services for the use of the dyno. last year the car put down 328 to the wheels on motor and 440 on a 150 shot. this year it put down 436 on motor and 609 on a 180 shot to the wheels. i also had to swap out the svo 30# for svo 42# while we were tuning it. i started to run out of fuel above 6300 on the spray so we are gonna put dual 255 pumps in the tank and up the shot to a 220 hit in about 3 weeks and see what she puts down then.

i don't know how radical you are willing to go but i would go with the brodix m2 t1 cnc combo kit. dart does make a good product but i think brodix makes a far superior product with the m2 t1's i know that everything as a whole that i changed had everything to do with those numbers but the heads have the majority of the credit. i picked up 108hp on motor and 169hp on the spray with a killer tune. brodix might be a bit more pricey but i am extremely impressed with my heads. thumbs up to brodix

Re: Dart or Brodix

The head companies are playing leapfrog with development. IMHO the Dart Pro One Platinum series is now in the front for an out of the box head. Not to say in 6 months some one else will be ahead.
