I was just curious if anyone in this forum has purchased a Strange Engineering Rear End? If so, how satisfied were you with there rear ends?

I just got the S-60 from them. One of the bearings was installed wrong. so wrong you could clearly see it wasn't right I can't believe that it left like that. That said it seems to be a really nice rear' its rated to 1100 hp I haven't driven it yet but I expect That it won't give me any trouble. And they handled my problem well.

I have a V-6 3rd Gen. that Im going to do a 350 swap into it. Would the GM 12 bolt Strange Eng. Rear End swap into it with no prob.? If you could give me some guidelines about that or any information I would much appreciate it.

Yea if you buy a thirdgen rear it should bolt up pretty easy. Your brake lines may not swap over exactally right. If you are going to do something with your rear brakes you should do it when you swap the rears.

You may need to get the sway bar bushings as well. How much hp do you intend to make with that 350 and what kind of gear do you plan on running on what kind of tires. Keep in mind that a factory 3.42 outta a fourth gen will take a descent amount of abuse. My '99 m6 TA is making over 400HP and 365 ft/lbs at the wheels (on a mustang dyno too, probably over 430rwhp on a dynojet). I've ran it on the street a few times with th BFG street slicks, but most of the time on the street tiores. Quite a few guys run good time on the stock ten bolt 3.42 as far as 4th gens are concerned-it's once you start gearing 3.73, 4.10, etc the thinner teeth tend to shear. Just something to keep in mind

I would like to make 400HP/400TQ if I had my way. But I would keep the gearing stock with that 3.42 in that 10 Bolt. Probably running street performance tires i.e. Bridgestone Potenzas or something like that.

I have the Strange F-Body 12-Bolt.
Pinion seal leaked right off the bat. No brake lines and the brake hose setup is a bit cheezy for my liking. All the hoses are flared ISO but my bird has metric “bubble” flares.
Mine has the 33-spline axles and disk brakes with oversized rotors. The calipers that came on it are stock f-body calipers with the ineffective park brake. The caliper mounts at an angle making parking brake cable installation a challenge but just short of impossible. The Baer brakes caliper mount lacks rigidity but I don’t know of a better solution available. Control arms and panhard bar bolted right up but neither of the universal joints provided would fit my driveshaft; I located a $36.00 crossover joint.

I bought it second hand and it had been sitting for some time but had never been installed. It came with a chrome cover (much to my chagrin) that is all but impossible to keep from leaking around the fill plug. I intend to install an aluminum cover when I replace the pinion seal.

So you would not suggest purchasing a Strange Rear End? How about Moser? I know that far more people use Moser Rear Ends but I thought I would try something different. But I dont want to have to replace a rear end once I buy it. How well do Moser's bolt up?

yeah, im planning putting a new rearend under my car. Moser seems to be the cheapest but I have heard good reveiws on currie rearends. Any thoughts?

hey i was wondering if you know how to post a message on the site . i just joined and i cant figure it out. i got some questions about my camaro i am restoring.

I just put fluid in mine and it leaks from the cover and its brand new I also got the crome cover it kinda pisses me of for that much money they should send you somthing that doesn't leak. Those moser rears come powder coated witch is a nice touch.

and the only reason its leaking is because of the chrome cover, seriously THEY SUCK
