| Re: Question about DEI CryO2 The only thing that nitrous and CryO2 have in common is that they both cool intake air. The only reason they do that is because they are compressed gasses. The DEI system is mainly used to be sprayed into turbo intercoolers basically getting them so cold that they form ice to prevent heat soak. Nitrous is an oxidizer which makes massive power really easily, but is not safe for an unsound motor.
With the Cry02 in a naturally asperated car, there is a probe that goes into the intake tract that is cooled by the C02 which cools the air. It would basically feel like you are driving in the winter. I believe if the CO2 were to be injected into the intake tract directly, it would hurt power due to the fact that CO2 is a product of combustion, not a reactant.
As far as power gains go, nitrous is definitely going to be the best bet power wise, even a sneaky pete system would add more power than the CryO2 system would.
