I have a 406 that I will spin to about 6000. it's been balanced and has good rod bolts and pistons. It has the stock balancer on it now and I wonder if it's good enough. I am afraid the outer ring is going to fly off. The rubber isn't pushed out but I don't know the limits of a stock balancer.
I don't see me spending 500 bucks on a balancer thats intended for a race engine. Anyone know of a good street balancer? I am going to break out the summit catalog here in a few minutes.
Thanks for any inputs.
Jason

Still dreaming of the solid roller 406 for
the 89'
running a summit 8" balancer. has engraved timing marks as well. about 4 years old now with a little bit of surface rust, but so far so good. would buy again.
