Afco or Ron Davis radiators?

Hi everyone, I'm planning on purchasing a new aluminum radiator soon, I was wondering if you have any thoughts on these two radiators. What are your experiences with them? Is afco better than Ron Davis or vice-versa? Any modifications that had to be made with Afco? Please let know what your thoughts are on these two products, it would greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I bought the Ron Davis unit but have not yet installed it. The thing looks awsome. It come's with twin spal fan's and a nice brushed aluminum hold down with Ron davis racing radiators ingraved on it. It looks like the ones he builds for nascar. Packaged great.

Please post when you install this. I'd like to get one next year but I do not want to hammer my pristine frame rails to make it fit. Be great if you could post a step by step installation of it. I'm also wondering if the stock fan relays will support the load of his fans.
Thanks

Hey Tranny, you think it won't work with the stock fan relay? Oh, another thing how big are the row cores, 1" or 1.25"?

Re: Afco or Ron Davis radiators?

My car was only set up originally with one fan. These are set for either both or I can turn one fan on at one temp and the second fan at a second temp or I guess if your running a/c. I get the sats on the radiator soon.http://www.rondavisradiators.com/CAM...007%200051.JPG

Ron Davis and Afco both make awesome Radiators.
If I didnt have a buddy who makes custom radiators also id prob opt for a RD unit.

Re: Afco or Ron Davis radiators?

I think I found a link. It shows a radiator installed in a 91 Camaro Z28. It's not fully assembled though. No hoses, no engine. It's 31x16 and click on the photo shots posted powerslide 91. You'll notice the passenger side tube out tilts to the left to clear the frame rail. Hope this helps.

I think I've made up my mind and given it alot of thought. I am going with the Ron Davis radiator because of the fitment. Thanks guys.
