Re: Best strut mount?

Does anyone know if the lifetime warrenty againts bending the plates for J&M applies for the old style too?

those are really nice. racecraft does put out a nice part.

all depends on what you are doing with it really.
if you dont have coilovers, id say go for it.
i run the spohns. i like how the coilover spring rests in the top of it.
this also allows you to run a 14" spring. better ride and you can compress them for more front end travel.

Re: Best strut mount?

Old thread I know, but I'm finally about to put the J&M strut mounts in (along with koni's, pro-kit, spohn panhard/rear lca's), but one thing I've been wondering for a while, the bearings on the mounts are as stiff as they come. To move them at all I had to brace them in a vice, then turn the surround. Trying to turn them using my finger just about breaks a knuckle, but they don't budge at all. The bearings on the old mounts which have just come off will turn freely with my finger.

Are they meant to be this stiff?

A bit off-topic, but koni yellows, fronts are adjustable but rears aren't, is that correct or should I start by reading the manual?

Re: Best strut mount?

old thread i kno. but i just ordered the J&M mounts that are 1" taller than stock. my car is lowered 1.5" front and 1.5" at least back. Im running cut moog 5664s for appox 900lbin front. and cut moog 5665s for about 130-150lb rear. im also running GR2 front struts and gas-a-justs rear.

i wanted to get a better strut for the front of the car. i was thinking of the kyb AGX adjustables. gooman? how do they work? i want a stiff ride and i cant afford koni yellows or blistens. i was thinking KYB AGX or maybe if i could find the front only tokcio blues or luminas for sale? front only?
