I think this may be in the wrong area, but look at s/h
yea wasn't sure where to put it....but still it seems likes this is everything you need to run hids...is it? Just curious cuz if its this cheap then im getting it
Correct me if I am wrong, but those dont look like real HID's. They look like regular H4 bulbs because they have the traditional connector prongs.
Real HID's require a ballast / ignitor thingy that is a whole different setup. Also, to properly run HID lighting, you should get projector housings, in order to ensure a cutoff point, and to focus the light in a good spread along the road.
Those clear housings are still of some valve however, because they allow you to change just the bulb, not the entire sealed beam unit. However, if you were to run them with stock bulbs you would probably notice a significant reduction in visibility. The "crystilization" of the stock lenses is meant to scatter the light more around. If you use clear lenses, the light will be more or less just 2 beams straight ahead.
I think since either way, you have to swap over the whole housing, if would be more beneficial to use some Sylvania Silverstars from the parts store. They come in a sealed beam unit for about $20 a side, and I have seen silverstars used and they make a nice white (not blue) light. Great product.
