Has anyone tryed this fuel saver emission lowerer product?
I was checking out this website and was wondering if any of you guys have tried this ultimate ME-2 fuel saver product.
They say that they guarantee a 13 to 16% increase in fuel efficiency and to lower your car's emmissions Nox by 44%, and CO by 33%. I have been tempted to try this product, but it seems a little pricey to me. They also claim their product is EPA tested and aprooved.
I'ts not a bad idea to pour an ounce of this product in the fuel tank before an emissions test to see if it really works and see the results in paper.
I have been skeptic about this kind of products because I have not seen one that really works but this one looks promising specially because of the money back guarantee.
I checked consumer reports but I did not find anything.
Here is the web site:

Well since I need to get emissions on my Maro I will do this for everyone to see, but if I pass my first time through I dont think they will allow me back for a FUN run...haha. But we will see, it looks promising but does it really work?
I WILL try this when I do my emissions though. Ill go in, make a run (hopefully I dont pass), second run Ill add 1oz of ME2 and see what happens, then post results.

here is the real link to that product. it says one bottle will treat 14 gallons of fuel. I personally dont beleive any of this stuff will work. But hopefully someone will give it a shot on the dyno during emmisions testing to find out.

Just use premium gas and save the money by not buying snakeoil.

EPA had nothing to do with it at all so you can't believe anything they say.

$50 for a little tiny bottle? And they want you to put one in every tank?

I beleive they clame one bottle treats up to 14 tanks of fuel.
It would be a good product for consumer reports to test.

The ULTIMATE ME2 is a non-metallic, patent-pending blend of Oxygen, Hydrogen and Carbon that breaks down the size of the fuel molecules so that they burn longer and cooler, creating a more complete and powerful combustion

Right.....
hahaha .. wait a minute ..
i may have took chemistry two years ago .. but if i remember right ..
oxygen + hydrogen = WATER !!!
hahahaha .. its a $50 bottle of water ... with a touch of carbon
...............
hey lets go by gatorade and put that in our tanks .. its a whole lot cheaper .. lol ..
Re: Has anyone tryed this fuel saver emission lowerer product?
if it is breaking down the octane molecules to a simpler lower chain like septane wouldn't that lower the octane number and increase the likelihood of detonation.
Re: Has anyone tryed this fuel saver emission lowerer product?
50.00 bucks for a bottle of something a new catalytic converter 100.00 installed and gauranteed to make you pass a emmisions test. Real tough choice there ... Why do you guys search for this mysterious stuff? just change you cat converter the day before emmisions test and it will easily pass.
Re: Has anyone tryed this fuel saver emission lowerer product?
These products dont work. THey've been on the market forever, you can even see them in old magazines from the 50's, but snake oil have been around forever. Dont be a fool, listen to the guys thats TELLING you, these types of products dont work! Even the TV show mythbusters tested a whole bunch of these. None work. Neither did they in the 90's when I read tests then, same in the 80's. And today...?
They DONT WORK! Lol
Their only sold for 1 reason, as the old saying goes "There's a new sucker born every day" Thats why these are still on the market, and probably will be forever, because fools buy them. Well, thats for the fuel saver part anyway. The emmision thing, I have no data on, but I'm a little sceptical there too.
As for the gas saver, not only do you have to be a fool to believe in the hype, but in addition you'd have to flunk in math, cause if you look at the equation, you'd see you save very little money on it even if it was true!
THey claim 14 fill ups, of 15 gallons each, 210 gallons, treated per bottle, for $50
And with a price of $3 per gallon as in Detroit today, you would pay $3x210Gal= $630 Of this your supposed to save 13% in less gas used, which is 0.13x630$=$81.9
Then withdraw the cost of the product, $50 + shipping, whatever that is, say $15, and you've only at best saved $16.9 in about 2 months if you fill approx 2 tanks a week. And thats 2.6% of the price ($16.9/$630=0.0268) of the fuel and teh additive, so even if it did work, you wouldnt get a 13% benefit, but only a 2.6% one in actual money.
But the real big issue with this particular product, is that it's ONLY a MLM (multilevel marketing product) and you know what that means, right? The seller have invested their own money into it, so naturally, they will reccomend it no matter what! But I'll give them that, it's the best way to move a product with no real benefits.
But where did you find the $50 price from? I cant find that, in fact there's no way to order it at all, you actually have to start a monthly subscription to a website where you sell it to others. SO maybe they dont even have the product, just selling people the website subsciptions or something...seems like a double hoax, but then again, if one is a fool enough to begin with to believe in these types of products, i guess they'd be the perfect candidate to be tricked into a subscription like this.

A cat is no for sure pass on emissions. The only way that will make a difference is if your cat was bad in the first place. There are lots of other tricks . Denatured alcohol is another old one, that actually does work. It would be a lot easier just to maintain a car that will pass emissions, or live where i do and you dont have any testing!
