i got my functional ram air II hood about 3 yrs ago from ramairhood.com or ramairhoods.com for 495 and was about 150$ for shipping... geez these prices are getting outa control.
cutting the holes isnt that big a deal if u have too. the functional ones have just a rectangle cut out ont he outside.... the inside part is a nice big oval. the fiberglass is thin in these areas so its not too bad to cut
Did you ever think about buyin a functional 4th gen camaro hood...i was told that the scoop lines up with the throttle body of our TPI with a oval cone filter on the end. Also heard it gets up to like 25HP. Heard it from an old mechanic. Hope this helps somewhat.

4th gen hoods dont fit 3rd gens period.... way 2 much work involved. the hoods are shorter (engine sits farther back in the engine bay and is acutally partially covered under the windshield/firewall) the fender curves are more radical as well as shorter i believe. and the front headlights are a different shape.
if hes talking about the 4th gen WS6 dual snorkle hood thats made for the 3rd gen (AKA ram air II, thats the hood were all talking about)then yes it fits and the hood scoop does line up with the TB and gives roughly 1.5-2" more hood clearance from the plenum. i kno bc thats what i have on mine.
no they make the style for our cars. i have seen it before. This is just wat i heard...the horsepower part. I know for sure there are SS hoods for our cars. Went to the Turkey Rod Run at daytona superspeedway (awesome show btw) had them for sale for our cars...dont remember the price. Here is a link
I don't get what's so hard to understand, he's not talkin about an actual f4th gen hood, just the 4th gen style hoods, aka the SS hood and ram air II hoods that they make for third gens..

i was answering this post. he said nothing about the style but the 4th gen hood itself. and its already been said multiple times that they make the ramair II hood for the 3rd gen, as well as the SS.
personally i would save some money and just get the non functional hood and spend 25min to cut your own holes.... they just cut small squares outa the front and a big oval from underneath
