Performabuilt=Two thumbs up

Just installed the Level 2 transmission with the 9.5" 3600 stall and took it for a test drive. Shifts were nice at cruising and I didnt floor it but got on it about half throttle and it was pretty snappy. Can't wait to break it in and see what'll happen when I shift at 6K . I did forget to connect the 12v to the transmission to get lockup and at 10:30 at night Frank was on yahoo. I totally forgot about hooking up the 12v and Frank reminded me of it . Nothing but great things from them. Frank is an awesome guy and answers all questions. I will post up my new times with this transmission and 3600 converter.

Re: Performabuilt=Two thumbs up

good deal, cant wait to see how those mods help that car. I know that car could use more stall and some gear, and a slipping old trans doesnt help much. new stuff really should wake that car up

when will you expect a track date?

Re: Performabuilt=Two thumbs up

as soon as i find a shop that will pass me for inspection. What stall would you have used? BTW I failed bc i dont have air pump and air lines are disconnected from cats. Funny thing is, the same mechanic passed me last year right before I went to the track

check this out dude.... stroked out L98 with xr276 AFR 195's SLP 1 3/4 headers and free flowing 3" catback...does it sound like a car you know? Magnum TPI has Super Ram though

Re: Performabuilt=Two thumbs up

For your setup i think a 3400 would be good for a street/strip car. larger cam like the 282 or 288 would like the 3600 better. I just got my setup restalled and Edge suggested a 3400-3600, and i said i'd rather be around 3500-3600 range. I was thinking 3800 for best track times but he said go alittle lower this time. For the nitrous shot i planned, it be best to have 3200-3400 but i wont have the shot for awhile, so i went with the larger stall speed for now. On the 150 shot or so, it will stall as high as 3800 so i dont wanna go too large. I dont think i am gonna spray it off the line anyway

Your car has good times in it, i cant wait to see it
