Re: anyone heard of this hood

did you actually read the feedback.......probably not but the only negatives were from complete idiots....one guy sent the money 29 days late and complained about how long it took. one guy was pissed it was a lot of modding and you had to put on hood pins....because he thought it would just bolt on and didn't read what he was bidding.....there wasn't a bad comment that wasn't from an idiot

Re: anyone heard of this hood

if it has to be pinned down then the guy selling is a liar and those people are not idiots.

"All hoods attach exactly as a factory hood, using OEM hardware. Comes in glossy white gel coat finish outer frame and partial inner frame, see pictures for details. Requires sanding before priming and painting."

where in that statement does it say hood pins needed.

that is a quote from his description. after reading that i would think it's a bolt on hood with no mods needed.

Not that I know the seller, nor defending him, really, but I will defend that "pins needed" feedback.....

Just because a buyer bought another hood from the seller, it doesn't mean THE HOOD HE BOUGHT was listed as bolt-on vs pin-on, so....It may well have been listed correctly, we have no idea. Mybe "All hoods...." is a bad choice of words....

BUT, with the seller listing everything as Private...Why? I see no reason to "hide" everything.

I will say this....I don't like that hood. GM cowl & Ford SVO combined?

Re: anyone heard of this hood

any aftermarket hoods should use pins up front, i think it was super chevy mag that ripped off their bolt on hood goin down the 1/4 mile....and yeah that hood is ugly, how about goin for an SS hood like on mine i love it...

Quit assumig what we are doing. Just because what he has listed RIGHT NOW, and yes, I looked at EVERY SINGLE of his listings, doesn't mean he never had one listed tghgat didn't say'Bolt On'. YOU are the one assuming, based on not being able to read his old items. Maybe the old listings didn't specifi bolt on vs pin on.

I already said...I don't like it. Leave the SVO styling to the Ford guys. I like the SS for Camaros & RAI for Firebirds.

LOL @ pages 22 and 23 of his feedback. This guy is a d*ck and I'd never even think of taking a chance with his BS. With all the shipping complaints, you think he'd find a new way to ship- sounds like he knows someone that gets him a deal and he pockets the extra cash.

Geez...Those pages (22 & 23 from April 07) are from over a year old! Yes, long standing history is nice. Granted, the sellers attitude in his Replies to neg. feedback remind me of an Elementary or Junior High kid. I'd say his feedbacks are what turn me off the most. Sounds he's getting his kid to leave Feedback Replies!

Re: anyone heard of this hood

igotta355z28: The hood that blew off Super Chevy's thirdgen was actually the factory '83 fiberglass hood. Not an aftermarket.

Re: anyone heard of this hood

Iv researched this seller ALOT. Their a company from the midwest that mustang guys have had ALOT OF PROBLEMS WITH. they have changed their shops name 3 times to cover up all their problems and their hoods quality is horrible. I was emailing them before i found out about this and they were very pushy to just buy the damn hood. SAY AWAY GUYS!! I almost made the mistake but im saving a few extra bucks up for a nice bolt on from a local shop here in nj. If anything go with a reputable hood seller.

Re: anyone heard of this hood

I bought my 4inch Bolt on cowl hood from this guy and it was a piece of crap i had to make it a pin on hood to make it fit right and the little threaded inserts he puts into the fiberglass for the hinges to bolt on to broke the fiberglass around it cause there is no bracing at all its just a hole drilled into the fiberglass and the threaded insert glued in.. and there was several places that either had cracks or where you could see the 2 halfs seperating that i had to fix.. makes me wish i saved for the ram air 2 hood from hawks..
