I just wanted to give a heads up about GTA wheels. I got my classic industries holiday catalouge yesterday. And to my surprise they started producing and selling gold and black GTA crosslace wheels again. There $199, they sell fronts and backs, and full sets. I myself am going to buy 4 brand new fronts for my T/A. Right now i have two different fronts, one dimpled and one without the dimples(87, i beileve), and my rears are all pitted beyond polishing. So i cant wait to have fresh new GTA wheels. Ill also be keeping the old ones for DR's or slicks
Just getting the word out for my fellow Thirdgenner's.......
Saw this also. Set of four you save about a hundred bucks......enough to pay for shipping. What is the deal on the dimpled ones ? What years and where exactly is this dimple at ? Thx
Nope just 16x8, these are OER originals. 88-92 with dimples.

stephen, if you really need, ill sell you my one front non dimpled black wheel, when i get my new ones.

Thanks, but I have retired my crosslaces to back-up status & am now running 17 x 8 ROH Snypers. The discontinued ones with the correct backspacing, not ones for 4th gens that need spacers.
So has anyone ordered a set yet? I'm seriously considering it since it looks like they are 15% off for the remainder of the year.
I bought two just over a month ago.Paid $345 OTD(20% off). The wheels are really nice, but not as great as he repros they were sellign a few years back.I tried to get a set back then, but they only had two(fr). So i put the two other fronts on backorder & waited well over one year. When i received a card from them telling me my BO was cancelled.I called to find out why & they told me they were having too many issues with the original molds & the wheels were not to specs.I was then told they would no longer be producing them.A few weks back though i saw them in a flyer i received. So i ordered two & used a 20% off card i got from them just the week prior. The wheels are very nice, dont get me wrong, but they are made in japan(or china), not in the US.For the money though(especially if you have that 20% off card). They're a great replacement. From the outside you cant tell they are'nt originals, but the edges on the back of the spokes are slightly rough(not deburred) & the centermost hole(nearest the lugs) is slightly smaller than the OEMs.Also they dont have the same casting #s & marks on the back of the wheel.Like the OEMs do.None of these are noticeable when on the car of course & the clear is excellent as well as the face.Im very happy with mine.
Just for the record, the factory wheels were made in Japan, unless I've been through 4 sets of repoped wheels. Each one I've ever looked at has "Japan" cast into the back of the wheel. But this is still very good. If I can't polish out any of my sets, then I know I can get some new ones.
The ones that classic was selling a few years back were being manufatured in the U.S(per classic).Classic bought the tooling from GM, so the wheels still had "japan" on the back of the wheel. The ones they are selling now are either japan or china & i dont think its the same tooling.Since i dont remember seeing "japan" on the casting. There was a sticker in the back stating the country, but i peeled it off right away.
