i just put the FF Dynamics FFD3600 Cyclone electric cooling fan in my 83 bird. i used the Flex-a-lite variable speed controller. great fan. comes with mounting hardware. good quality, heavy duty fan. it cools down the car rather quickly. i can't wait to see how it fares in the summer.

i used an upper radiator support from a 91 or 92 firebird i think. i got it off ebay cheap ...and in good condition. just do an ebay search for "firebird radiator support" and a bunch of things should come up. i got lucky and found one in great condition. i just threw a fresh coat of paint on it so it'd look good. i did have to trim the back of it to fit the fan...i was about 1/2" off. i got out the dremel and slowly trimmed off what i needed. it was a pretty smooth installation overall and i'm happy with the results.

this fan has officially passed! it survived a hot NY summer without any overheating issues. the fan works great and no issues with the Flex-a-lite VSC module. i also have a 180* thermostat, so the car runs a bit cooler than normal. i'd HIGHLY recommend this fan bc it works great and its cheaper than Flex-a-lite and many other manufacturers.
