Now, now, Uncle, I'd never suggest a crutch--but you might consider The Scooter Store

The new Camaro sounds cool. Get some pics up when you can.

Re: GRANT STEERING WHEELS ???

I had one on my 86. It was the four spoke. Black surround with the matte silver spokes. Looked great. I'm going to get one just like it for my IROC when I get to that point. Installation is pretty simple.

Just make sure you disable the airbag system before you start messing with the current steering wheel. It would suck for it to deploy while you where right there on top of it.

Re: GRANT STEERING WHEELS ???

yes disable the air bag befoer you mress with it. grant now makes steering wheels that still use the air bag for some vehicles. i dont have an airbag so i cant tell y;ou for sure if they offer them for camaros

Re: GRANT STEERING WHEELS ???

I have a GT 13in. 3 spoke wheel. I love it. Very good quality and feel. The smaller size took some getting used to

My only gripe is the sticker on the horn button. The glue they use doesn't hold very well.

Re: GRANT STEERING WHEELS ???

If inspection isn't a problem I'd say go for it. Just disable the airbag correctly and remove the light from the dash (personally I'd be afraid of an airbag that old anyway). I've had them on several cars over the years and love em. I have the 3 spoke 13 inch black kinda plain wheel on my 86 vette, also had it on my 89 rs, I love it and it isn't too bling bling looking. As far as the horn buttons, get the one you like. I had the standard grant button on my maro but went with the vette logo one when I put it on the 86. Very good quality wheels, the one I have now is about 10 years old and looks just as good as the day I bought it. Congrats on the new maro!

What wheel are you guys refering to? The horn button on mine doesn't use a sticker.

ive never had a problem with the horn button, ive owned two grant steering wheels, a 3 spoke vinyl wrapped and a 3 spoke soft rubbery synthetic type grip stuff and i still have both little buttons and theyre in good condition. im willing to part with one if your interested.

anyways theyre good steering wheels, the only thing i dont like is the allen bolts that bolt the steering wheel to the adapter thing, they felt like they were gonna round off when i installed acouple of them

same one I've had for years, I think it's like their cheapest one but I like mine, not too overly tacky like some aftermarket wheels..
