Re: sub frame connectors

I've never seen a yellow undercarriage, that's new.

The SFC's look good.

Re: sub frame connectors

It's pretty obvious it's been painted. Everything is yellow, fuel and brake lines included. But I do have to say, it does look nice.

Re: sub frame connectors

Thanks for all of the comments!!! I was getting sick of looking at my rusty underside, so I borrowed my brothers 4 inch makita angle grinder and went to work. Then I bought some primer, yellow paint and clear. As for my exhaust, it isnt boxed. Its a normal flowmaster cat back that I painted with gloss black caliper paint recently. Boxed exhaust would be very interesting though. Sorry to get your hopes up. Very happy with the outcome of the SFC's and paint.

Re: sub frame connectors

Spohns weld on SFC are awesome. They tuck under the car very nicely. Although I lenghten them on the LCA side so they sit a little further forward. It gave me more area on the front pads to weld to and tuck better. They are a little time consuming to install but well worth them. When I jack up one of the front wheels it only gets about 3 inches off the ground and it starts lifting the back tire off the ground.

Re: sub frame connectors

on my 85 iroc LS3 build up i am using BMR subframe connectors... they fit up very well and are very beefy. welded in with no problem and i also welded in a seperate BMR torque arm mount, i posted some pics over on my LS3 engine swap thread in the LSx swap forum section

Like someone said before, with ground effects they tuck up nice, but a ground effectsless car they are very visible. I know someone who got the BMRs on his non-gfx bird and they stuck out from under the car a lot.

Re: sub frame connectors

I put it on yesterday and have done about 20 miles of driving since and it seems to be doing very well so far. It says it good up to 500-600 degrees to. I would recommend it. $7 dollars a can at napa or summit. I used Dupli-Color
