Mr Gasket cable Cutout?

Has anyone ever tried this? I've got a stock 305 engine with (a pretty gutted cat) no muffler right now. I'm planning on putting my dynomax dual out back on but once in a while i'd like it a little louder

has anyone tried this? wheres the best place to put it? would it even work with stock pipes? cuz it looks like 2" outer..... thanks guys

Re: Mr Gasket cable Cutout?

Dont waste your money on that one. If you want a cutout, get one of the ones with 3 wing nuts that you manually remove the cap on. I have two on my s10 and it takes all of a minute to open. The mr. Gaskets ones are 2" and from what I have heard from several people they are terrible at leaking. Exhaust leaks are very annoying.

Just get the other style and have it welded into the system right after the Y.

IMHO though, I wouldnt even bother. A stock motor with a cutout just sounds "tractorish" and crappy. Loud yes, tone no. HP difference, no. (you might think you feel something, but you dont, its just louder so you think you are faster)
