but i dont know where to start.
i have a 305 TBI 700r4 trans... its completely stock
Current problem.
1) car is running really hot - electrical fan only works if i turn the AC on
Future Plans
1) 383 swap
2) 6 speed trans
3) read disc breaks
4) new suspensions ( no idea which one yet still need to look into it . suggestions would be appreciated )
what do you guys think i should start of with first?
i do need prep my chassis and make it stronger to handle the 383 since i have t tops?

first fix the things you know are bad/wrong . then look for problems , rusted floor pans , etc. . you will find plenty of things to do . vist this site every day , see what others are doing , follow other builds . your plans sound good , make sure your pockets are deep enough . do not start a project untill you have everything together and ready . by this i mean parts , tools , and an area to do the project . keep us posted . good luck .
thankfully there is no rust in the car or dents the body looks perfect othre than the paint starting to bubble in a couple of places but you cant see those unless you get a magnifying glass. i guess ill start working my fan and try to make it run cooler.
thanks for the advice
what I would do is fix whats wrong and then start buying safty parts like sub frame connectors, better brakes ,shocks/ springs combo,wheels/ tires and the rest of the suspension...
anyone can go fast in a straigh line but can you go fast if the road turns?
thats true...well american muscle cars are not know for their handling but yeah being able to handle nice would be a big bonus. once i got my car running and was doing donuts i found out that my diff is welded. and i dont really want to go through new sets of tires every month but yeah that would be a big pain to change too
