I bought a set of comp cams promagnum chromemoley rockers for my BBC. When my engine builder put them on and tried to turn the engine over it would bind up bad. After a few days of searching he found that the rockers were the problem. He sent them back to comp cams and they confirmed that they have had issues with them in the past and the slots were not long enough. Its going on three weeks and comp cams still hasn't sent me a new set.So they still have my junk rockers and my money while i sit and wait for them to "make it right". This was the first and last time i buy a comp cam product.

wow i have always had good luck with comp cams product. they knew they had a problem but they still let ppl buy them first? that doesnt make sense. hopefully its just for the BBC
I also had problems years ago with comp rockers on BBC and the geometry got tired of trying to fix it, but now all the BBC I build I either use Crane gold or Scorpion platinum rocker arms.
Funny, but never had a lick of trouble with comp rockers on the SBC side and that is pretty much all on use.
As far as I know it was just BBC with large valve springs.
you going to find that with alot of BBC rocker arms with big valve springs, its a common thing. I dont think its justified to badmouth a good product/company just because it wouldnt work in your application, yes, they are taking to long to get you another set IMO though, im running pro magnum's in one of my 355's, and hi techs in the other. maybe take a look at the Hi-Techs

I am good friends with a tech person from Competition Products. When I told him about it he said that Comp Cams has known about it for along time but never mentions it in any literature.I'm sure they have many satisfied customers or they wouldn't be in business. I'm just one of the unsatisfied customers. As far as it being common.from what I've been told its only common with competition cams BBC pro magnums.
