Stewart water pump from Summit

Started the serpentine swap on my 87 GTA today. Everything came off ok. All the new stuff is clean and ready to go on when like a case of unexplained diarrhea i open the box to my new water pump (#13123) and find it cracked. Nice job Stewart's....and a nod to Summit for there A+ inspection job prior to shipping. The box didn't have a 16th century style wax seal on it from Stewarts so what gives?

Re: Stewart water pump from Summit

I bought a stewart pump and I'm not to pleased with it. The damn thing squeaks. It cools the engine just fine but on occasion it makes this squeaking/squealing sound. No matter though, I'm going to replace it with an electric one soon anyway. Still haven't decided between proform or CSR.

Re: Stewart water pump from Summit

Well, I had mine rebuilt with only a few miles on it and it still weeped. They stated they would gladly rebuild it again. NOT. I'm trying out an edelbrock now.
