redne ck performance trans brake.

ok, so i finally installed installed my trans brake. i have a th350 turbo, i bought the reverse manual valve body with trans brake. i also bought there 3500 stall convertor, this is a nice piece as well. i think i did a review on it prior to this. anyways it has the anti baloon plates, heavy duty needle bearings and all that jazz for a whopping $295

i am a mitsubishi tech, i specialize in auto transmissions so i did the install myself. the instructions for the kit are kinda confusing, but google helped alot with images of other kit installs.

access to a brake lathe is also needed for machining a piston. this is neccesary to add a 5th friction and steel (not included, but avaliable at a local trans shop) to the direct drum clutch pack. this is also a good time to upgrade the intermeadiate sprag outer race/one way clutch to the heavy duty. this is the single most weakest link in the 350 turbo.

anyways as long as you are competent to overhaul/modify a transmission, or have a profesional to install this kit, it is an excellent product, with out the major price tag.
if for some reason you have any trouble while installing it, give them a call and they will help guide you, i had a minor snag and had to call them and leave a message, they called back the next morning and answered my question.

this is the valve body/brake.

anyways this kit was only $280 and i aqm very pleased with its performance so far. combined with the stall i purchased from them, i will continue to use there products whenever i need trans components. if youre in the market for a good convertor, valve body, or complete tranny, check out there web site, you will not regret it.

peace out
Trevor
