cowl hood questions?????

i want to get a cowl hood for my 87 IROC, i want to go with a 4 inch cowl hood thats not that expensive and comes from a good reliable company that going to fit good and look good. i don't know if i should go with a steel hood or fiberglass. my car is at the body shop right now so i'm kind of in a hurry to figure this out. i accidently rear ended some lady and caused $3,000 damage to the car and since it's getting painted i figured that i would go ahead and do everything that i wanted to do to the exterior all at once. if anyone can help me out with these questions and point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. thanks and i look forward to your replies.

Re: cowl hood questions?????

I have a bolt on 4in from harwood and love it! 5 years and no problems! The body man told me you get what you pay for,, he said cheap fiberglass hoods are waving and not as true.

Re: cowl hood questions?????

after the research i did today and calling some friends to ask, that was the conclusion that i came to also. i looked around on the web site and looked at plenty of different hood companys and all the hoods were about $445 and then have to pay shipping that was an extra $100 and then it would take 3 to 8 days to ship when i live 45 minutes away from summit and can just go there and get a hood the same day. thanks for the reply, i appreciate it.
