Re: pro charger

I believe the brackets are different between cars. the head units should be the same thing. Your bracket will have the mounting holes in different positions to position the head unit in the right place.

Re: pro charger

correct, a mustang headunit when bolted to a f body bracket will not yield the proper angle for the outlet of the head unit.

Re: pro charger

yup, I have one. I recommend calling procharger directly when your serious with some cash, and talk to them, they can help you out best!

Re: pro charger

I have a basic f1a procharger kit, 12rib belt.
I had to convert all my accessories to vbelt though, you will lose your stock serpentine setup. right now i have 7psi and it feels 500ish, no dyno yet my trans went out. i built the engine for 15psi max and that should net me 600-700.
i have 8.5:1 CR, and a comp 236/248 duration cam.

The head units bolt patterns are specific to the head units, not to the car it is used on.

The P600B uses a specific bracket and has it's own bolt pattern. 4 bolt hose in a square.

The Oil Fed Head, ie P1 D1, units use a bracket specific to them. Its a wide U pattern

The Self Contained, ie D1SC P1SC F1, units use a bracket specific to them. A narrow U Patter

There are standard and reverse rotation blowers, Also there are 3 Mounting angles. 10 12 and 2 O clock

You need the bracket designed for the 3rd gens which is only "bolt on" with the serpentine setup. It uses a standard rotation blower setup for the 2 o'clock mounting position.

Re: pro charger

hey thanks for the information its alot of help. i have an electric water pump is the standard mounting for the head unit going to work with this and when i buy this does it come with a new crank pulley and if so does anyone have a picture. just kind of curious as to whether it runs on its on belt and how i would hook my powersteering up with that big ol thing in there. what kind of lsa is on that cam and lift as well. my objective this year is to get the motor rebuilt for the procharger break it in off of the boost and then boost it like you said around 15 lbs. im looking to make somewhere around 700 hp my trans is built for 800 so i dont want to push it. ummm oh one more thing i was reading up on these things and some people claim to have crankshaft snout problems has anyone else had this problem thanks
