The thing I found particularly intriguing was the Braille Auto Carbon Fiber Battery. Outperforms the standard wet cell battery and weighs a ton less. As for the quality of Braille, they make an outstanding battery.
The SBC ones look like they pulled a mold off some cheap chrome covers. Don't like them at all. Like mine a lot better with the curved profile and the 1/2" thick billet aluminium rails:

How much did those run you? Because they look awesome.

Ebay, they weren't cheap. I don't remember how much but it was quite a wad of cash. Dunno who made them there's no name or anything on them.
All things considered, these guys are mass produced. I'd be willing to be that those covers you have are almost a custom made piece. Plus, its a valve cover. So while it may not look the best, it does weigh less than a metal one and is just as functional. Plus, anything carbon under the hood just looks awesome.
The guy said they were a one off set. That's why I bought them, I'm a sucker for rare stuff. That's why I bought that weird intake setup from FoggedV6. I have some other super weird one off intakes and prototypes.
