FUEL PUMP ???

o.k. , i have some more troubleshooting to do . but , i fear i am looking at the dreaded fuel pump change . since i only want to do it once what is the best recommended replacement & source ? the car is a 91R/S 305 TBI , t-5 , headers & minor mods. . cost , ( within reason ) is not a factor .

Re: FUEL PUMP ???

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY AN AIRTEX FUEL PUMP. if you only want to do this once. i put an airtex pump in my camaro and a month latter i was back in there replacing it. I would buy the bosche one or an aftermarket one. but NOT the airtex one.

Re: FUEL PUMP ???

I just installed an ACDELCO from rockauto. I used the 5.7L pump and it works fine, plus you have a little extra if you do any upgrades in the future.

Re: FUEL PUMP ???

Most all aftermarket pumps are made by TI. Walbro, Marwal, and TI Pierberg might be on the pump. Airtex/Master buys most of their pumps out.
