Raceparts Crank (Hawks)?

Anyone ever use one of these? It's on Ebay, "Hawks nodular iron 383 stroker crank" I don't know how to post a link to it but it's on ebay. I always wanted a 383. The price is nice. Any experience? Thanks in advance!

Re: Raceparts Crank (Hawks)?

nodular iron is stronger than the older stock cast cranks but the newer cast steel cranks are stronger than the nodular iron. Ive heard from many ppl that the scat 9000 cast cranks are the strongest of the cast cranks bc they have a more thero hardning process than eagle etc.

i just got one of the scat 383 rotating kits... they are harder to balance but they are stronger. it was the 9000 cast crank, forged scat rods with ARP cap screw bolts, SRP forged pistons clevitt bearings and sportsman rings.
