i have had that shifter in my car for over 16 years.. and as long as you take the time.. to install it
RIGHT! 99% of the time it's sticking. it's from the adjstmnt on the shifter cable/run out/pan bolts IF THE CABLE IS PUSHED OUT TO LONG FROM THE END it will get hung up on it's self..when you try to pull it out of park..and pull it down into drive...it's all about taking your time when you install.. do not cut your shifter wires like it tells you to
MAKE A PIN SET and plug them in the the plug head..
yes it's a PITA. but if you ever want to swap back.. it's plug and play..
make sure your back up lights work..
make sure you park safty/start works.. (no short cuts)
use the light that was in your old shifter to add more light to the display
along with the New light (you will see)
LOOP the cable LIKE IT SHOW'S it's never stuck on me.. and iv had my tranny out no joke about 12 times..
remember ea time you take your tranny out you will have to adjst the shift cable to get all the gears set up.. it's easy.. i can do it in 10 min or less now.. with aguy sitting in the car.. working the shifter..
take the time to read the info it comes with.. it's a kewl install and looks good ...
remember
nutrl/ park start
back up lights
and all the other goodys should work when done right..
Keep all your old parts..
this is a shot of mine installed.. with line lock and NOS button. all on shifter
a better shot w/new ricky race seats
