that looks like a better option to me. I would get that. it just plugs in like the OEM one.
it's just for low beams though? i wonder why that is
It's a cheaper option, but I have no idea if they're better. Perhaps someone else can chime in here who has experience with both. The SilverStars plug in just as the OE's would. IIRC, I purchased both low and high beams for my IROC. The SilverStars are a definite cut above OE.

92 Camaro, they offer both low and high beam bulbs. I just linked to one.
The Silverstars is a good option, but maybe the Wagners are just as good and cheaper. Maybe we can get some feedback from someone using the Wagner lights.
When I purchased mine at AutoZone, the store had a display comparing SilverStars with several other brands, IIRC. Might be interesting to see that display should it still exist.
At any rate, learning how the brands you mention stack up against the SilverStars would be interesting.

TruViews are a little better than just regular halogens but no where as bright as Silverstars. I think they are a bit cheaper though, so you get what you pay for. Have not seen any other sealed beam as good as the Silverstars. The capsule bulbs in the TV's are pretty close to SS's though. Sorry have not run GE's, but I would say dig in the couch for some extra change and just get some SS'

Thanks for the info on the TruViews.
It isnt really the price as much as which product was better. I just thought that if the TruViews were as good as the Silverstars, then it would be a cheaper option for us thirdgenners.
I am going to try a set of the low beams Silverstars. I dont get to use the brights much with all the traffic.
I'm happy with my silverstars. They were brighter, but the biggest difference I got was from rewiring the headlights directly through the battery with some relays. That made a huge diff.

Yeah, I have seen some of the Write ups on making a new harness with relays. I may try making my own also.
Your avatar....Albino Arabesque? Hypomelanistic Motley? Other??? I've been out of the Herp game for years, but still love them!
Super Stripe Borneo Short Tail Python, I breed bloods and short tails. Lots of herp people in TX, I have quite a few friends out that way. Scaling down on stuff myself right now though.
I work in an automotive dist. warehouse.. its crazy the mark-up on price for light bulbs in the stores. a 2 pack of lights like 2057 is $5 but a bulb is really like .25 The truviews are only a step up from stock halogens like sylvania has the xtravision. Now they got the silverstar ultras which are supposed to be brighter than the regular silverstars. I hear the GE nighthawk are good too. I have silverstars in my firebird and in my cavalier I like them.
Only problem with all these brighter lights is they dont increase the wattage to stay legal but they change the gas inside so the filament runs hotter and the bulb has like half the life of the stock one. Ive replaced one in the bird. and Ill see how long they last in the cav since it has daytime running lights the high beams are on half power during the day.
I went to the xtravision and loved it. I am going to go brighter next time and I am also going to rewire the lights with relays too. I did that on my 68 dodge charger and it was a huge difference.
Those silver start & silver star ultras are really good when it comes to brightness HOWEVER One thing you guys need to look at when you get them (Look on the back of the packages) Is the longevity is VERY VERY short compared to STD Bulbs. You wouldn't beleive on how many people come in where I work, drop the $50.00 bucks for 2 bulbs then are back in a few months getting more because they have blown
