I recently ordered a BMR K-member with the LS1 mounts. First off, I got it for a smokin deal with BMR's 25% off sale! Shipping was lightning fast. I ordered it on Tuesday and recieved it on Friday. The guys at BMR were very helpful and always immediately knew the answer to any questions I had.
Upon recieving the K-member, I wasn't let down. It's a work of art! I almost felt bad bolting it underneath my car. The welds and coating are awesome on it. The fit was almost perfect, with just 1 of the 6 holes being about a 1/4 inch off. No big deal, I just got a clamp out and tightened it until it pulled the bolt hole to the subframe and then the bolt went in smoothly. I blame it on the car being 23 years old and the fact that no two subframe cars are the same! I guess the only real downside the this piece is that you can only use thier A-arms with it and not the stock ones, but why would you dish out the cash for a tubular K-member and not get A-arms too?
Overall, BMR has never let me down. I bought a set of thier A-arms a while back and they were amazing as well. I plan on using BMR for every piece of my suspension as my project progresses.

Good to know. I will most likely going BMR route this time around for the ls1 swap. How much do your k-members/a-arms weigh? Stock spring perches, LS1 mount.

the k member is noticably lighter since you can lift it with 1 arm. try that with a stocker! i want to say the k member with the a arms with stock spring perches takes 40 to 50 lbs off. thats a big difference!

For future reference, can you put the items you got on a scale? Thanks.
I'm sure you can get the weight info directly from BMR. I was more concerned with the fact that it had LS1 mounts and that I needed as much extra room in the engine bay as I can get. The weight savings was just a bonus for me.

I'm sure BMR can give me a number, but I've found over the years that quite often manufacturers are a bit happy about reality. Or their scales need adjustment.
old thread but i just now got around to installing this stuff on my car. the bmr k-member and control arms is exactly 30lbs lighter than my stock k-member and control arms
