Auto Meter A-pillar pod.

What's up with the long brass screws that come out of the gauges. they are hitting on the plastic of the pod. Can the screws be trimmed or what?

That is kinda a crappy design. It really wasn't a problem though, those screws were very easy to cut off. I used a hack saw and cut about 3/8 of an inch off and they fit perfectly. They will also still work with teh aluminum clamps if ever want to mount them on a flat panel. They should have just shortened the screws in the first place.

If they made them shorter, people would just complain that they are too short. I would think they leave them long so they will fit different applications. You can always cut some off, but would be hard to add on to them.

I had no problems at all installing this a-pillar pod. It came with 4 black push in type tacks. You can even use 3m heavy duty double sided tape if you dont' want to drill holes.
