Falcon Performance Cams

Does anyone know about this cam kit from Falcon Performance on E-bay, dubbed LG4 Ultimate Camshaft Kit?

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

I've heard of all of the major players in cam tech but never of Falcon Cams. Maybe they're a more recent company of the last few years and if that is the case I'd be weary of buying something from them. Just my .02 cents.

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

looking at the specs. it looks like it would be a stock replacement cam. I mean it is nice to get all the components for the swap. But Id look into comp cams first and see if they have something with a lil more "juice". No sense in doing a cam swap w/o picking up some power!

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

I agree with both of you. I am leaning towards the Comp Cams XE256 kit; $320 for the kit is the least expensive I've found on ebay:

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

your carbureted so that cam wont be too bad. At least you'll know you changed it when you fire it up. Not a bad choice at all.

LSA stands for Lobe, Separation, Angle in regards to camshafts and engine technological terms.

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

well i just read a thread in the tbi section and it says the peanute cam is 109 lsa so maybe I am wrong. Just preferably buy a cam designed for computer controlled engines.

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

I think I found it.

HYDRAULIC - Fair idle with lope, use as
replacement for 350H.P. 327 cam. Good mid-range
horsepower with wide power band.
BASIC RPM 2200-5200
Street
Strip
CD222-11C-grind #
975806-camshaft part #
C37-16
99277-16
C817C-16
222-Duration at .050
222
306-advertised duration
306
114-LSA
.000-valve lash
.000
.447-valve lift
.447

114 lsa angle is good. But with a 306 advertised duration its not goign to run great. I thik it has a lot of overlap. I bet its going to be a pain in the butt to run right. I hope someone with more experience will chime in.

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

well the advertised duration doesnt mean much. Because manufacturers measure at different points. THe duration at .050 is the industry standard. now I cannot guarantee how it will run. But my guess is it'll have a lope too it

Re: Falcon Performance Cams

I think I'd trust Comp just a little more than an ebay cam. Never heard of them.
