that is a bit high, but its a OE GM part. i think i saw them recently for $175 each OE which is $350, idk if that was shipping included, if that wasing hawks isnt too far off...

Re: you gotta wonder

I have to agree, to a degree. hawks has been nothing less than a reputable business in my dealings with them from start to finish, and that is SO appreciated. but part costs are based on supply and demand and you certainly can't blame a business for capitalizing on opportunity. I recently bought a set of hood blisters from them along with some other stuff. I certainly felt my backside get lighter after paying the bill, but to me it was worth it.

now , really, considering it is nigh on impossible to find them used in good condition . and if you need them to finish your car, its a good deal. or as its said "you gotta pay to play". hawks is THE go to place for our cars. not to forget "lonsal" he also is stellar. but I think that considering I own a 28 year old GM product. im just happy ANYTHING is available for it .

Re: you gotta wonder

We'll I don't like paying high prices either, but considering how cheap 3rd gen owners are known to be we should be thankful that we have a vendor willing to develop and put new parts on the market for us. For that I am thankful

Re: you gotta wonder

I love Hawks. My only gripe with them is sometimes it takes about 2 weeks to receive anything (and I haven't ordered anything that wont fit in the mailbox).

Re: you gotta wonder

OE hard to find in good shape parts for classic car (dang it just don't feel right to call third gens classics, makes me seem old lol) = High $$$

You want a freak out from sticker shock, go look from OE 1st gen or even early second gen parts.

Sure Hawks is higher than avg prices, a good bit higher than junkyards but it is an all third gen mega store. If you need it, he's got it and it's just a phone call or a click away.

I have only needed to order from him twice and both times very pleased with products I got, packing of product and friendly helpful staff.

I'll pay the extra for that.
