Anyone have one of these converters?
If so, how do you like it. I was wondering if they were any good?
I know vigilante is the way to go but it don't have $700 right now and the SLP is about $300.
Thanx
I've had one in my 92Z since 97. It's stock diameter, so you won't have any weight savings/rotational benefits like the Vigilante 9.5. The SLP tc seemed to stall a little lower than the "800+ above stock", but it's been fine. I was running 13.4's with 1.914-1.934 60' times with SZ50 radials while still running the stock bottom (stock shortblock including cam) L98.
Hey Kevin.
What were your times before the torque converter?
Did it help your trap speed at all?
