Mean Green Cleaner/Degreaser works almost too good: Details inside

I am trying to get rid of the grease from in my engine bay, because the whole compartment is black. And the car is white. (i think the original owner blew a motor in it and did not clean the mess left behind) Anyways, i just went to the store and picked up some Mean Green "Super Strength" Cleaner & Degreaser. I started to go to work on the car while ago and noticed that it was stripping the paint from the underneath-side of the hood! Well I was going to get a nother hood anyway, but good ***!

Anyway, I will probubly delute it next time with some water.

Just thought that I would warn you before someone else screwed something up.

Yeah a lot of those heavy duty cleaners will take paint off if you use them undiluted, another one is Castrol Super Clean, a friend of mine didn't read the instructions and used it full strength on his engine and then pressure washed it and most of the paint came off with the crud, and don't get that stuff undiluted on your hands either, because it WILL take the outer layer of skin off.

Thanks for the warning about the skin.

I tried to dilute it while ago and it still was trying to take the paint off. It was about 1/3 water. But you live and learn i guess!
