I'm getting a B&M (not B&W) Console Megashifter for my 86 TA as well! I think it's a great shifter! One of my friends bought the B&M megashifter for his 400 small block S-10 and it's very nice! No worry about accidentally going from 1st to 3rd or OD when manually shifting during a run because of the ratchet action! If you have the 700R4 tranny you can get a different handle from B&M that has a switch on the side of it and use if for the lock-up since it won't work properly w/out the ECM!!
