Alston in Antioch, IL

Yeah, so today I went to Alston Racing of Antioch, IL and got their tubular subframe connectors welded in, and their rear control arms put in. First off, I have to say, after hearing bad things about almost every brand SFC, that these guys know what they're doing. I have SLP 1 3/4 headers and dual cats, and not a single problem with interference. I haven't lost any ground clearance, and they only way 16 pounds! They did a perfect job fitting those and their high quality rear lower control arms... I'm a very happy customer.... so if anyone wants a recommendation for a good chassis shop, I say go to this place...

For all the parts and installations they charged $450.. which isn't that bad considering that my lower control arms had rusted themselves in place and had to be torched off...

Those SFC's are way better quality then the ones you'd buy out of summit. They're 17 lbs, tubular, sacrifice no ground clearance and look absolutely slick installed. Also, you can just buy them from them and save some $$ by installing them yourself.

Do the SFCs weld to the pinch weld (where the rocker panel and floor boards meet)?

Alston has a top notch operation going on. I have their sfc's and they also did my cage a few years back. Super quality and good prices. Would highly recommend.

where is this town?

450 for subframe connectors, and rear control arms, and installed? I guess that isn't too bad, you could spent 300 on half decent ones fairly easily, not to mention my luck with things fitting

Where is Antioch? Heh, it's a scary little town out of a B horror film. It's pretty much northwest of Chicago on the Wisconsin border. Just go to Yahoo and get a map done. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere (like most good race shops)
