Autoaccessories.com issues

Good evening all.

On 08DEC02 I ordered a car cover from Autoaccessories.com. I have yet to receive it, which would not worry me if they would give me a tracking number for the cover, which is coming directly from Covercraft. When I politely asked for a tracker, I was informed that I could not get one from either Autoaccessories or Covercraft. In addition, the salesman (Craig) has become rude on the phone, even after his company neglected to give me the update they promised (Autoaccessories took down my phone number for this purpose). One other tidbit: When I ordered this cover, Craig told me the cover would ship to my home in ten days. This would not worry me were it not for the fact that nobody at Autoaccessories seems to have an inkling as to what is going on.

To stave off concerns that I am overreacting or just a pain in the a$$, rest a$$ured that this is a first for me. I have been ordering parts and such for eighteen years and between Craig's attitude and his company's inability to know what its representatives are doing I am having my worst mail/phone/online experience to date.

I will update this when I finally hear from either Autoaccessories or Covercraft (or kill the order off with the help of my C/C company). Maybe I am just a tad pi$$ed because I repainted the car for which the cover is destined. It's only a 5.0 LX, but it's MY 5.0 LX...grrrrrr

Sorry if this looks like just another Net-rant. I just wanted to ask around on here and, if this company is out to stick enthusiasts like us, warn 3G about these little goofballs in Irvine.

Peace,

K

Well, that is refreshing...

I received two emails from Linda at Covercraft yesterday. She informed me that the cover had shipped AND provided the tracking number whose existence Autoaccessories falsely denied.

To summarize:

Covercraft is great (I am sure many on here know this);
Autoaccessories.com is part of the bad side of online shopping. Their rudeness and general lack of concern for customers has lost them any of my future business. I will need three additional covers in the coming year (I need to sell something...) and of course I will go elsewhere for them. I hope AA.com did not make much on this sale, especially considering that Covercraft did all the real work.

I hope my posting this small mess helps someone looking for a car cover avoid the garbage with which I was forced to deal. Thanks to 3G for the board space for issues such as this.

Thanks very much for the support MDFormula350.

Peace,

K
