Why SLP only make single side exit cat-back?

Me personally id much rather have the tailpipes exit on opposite sides in the back of the car rather than just one side, it just seems "unbalance" the way SLP does it.

Would it be to far fetched to say that SLP is hurting themselves in sticking to single side exit catback when it comes to selling 3rd Gen cat-backs?

From what ive seen, almost EVERY other exhaust company makes dual side exits, and it looks like SLP is the only one who makes single.

I would of bought a SLP cat-back 100%, but finding out its only single side exit, i quickly changed my mind and looked elsewhere.

Has anyone thrown this thought at SLP's way, so they can wake up and maybe make a dual side exit version too. I bet alot of people would jump into that, having a dual exit exhaust, stainless steel, and probably cheaper than Borla.

What u guys think about this whole deal?

I think SLP is forgetting abuot us altogether. I guess old f-bodies are'nt profitable anymore. Theve moved on th Mustangs and Rangers now. It seems to be getting harder to find some parts for these cars. 4th gens are defintiely the spot light cars.

because it was the design on the firehawks and they just kept making those kits i guess.

i myself enjoys the TOTL pipes and sound of the catback.

SLP chose function over form. The TOTL design is less restrictive because it eliminates the 180 deg bend the exhaust has to make after exiting the muffler if connecting to a passenger side tailpipe. I like the stealth factor and the sound is great.

The two 2 1/2" pipes on the left side are what makes the SLP different from the rest of the pack. Everyone with knowledge of cars knows its a performance SLP system and not a stock exhaust.

definately function.....around here if a car has two pipes out the back you don't have to worry about how fast it is. if you only see one or can't see them at all you worry. it was alot to get used to myself when i first converted to a single pipe but now i don't think twice about it and prefer not to see the pipe at all.

How much of a difference are we talking here, if any from a single side exit to a dual side exit exhaust system?

enough...there are too many factors that play into this but i can say that if your changing your stock exhaust for a so called upgraded version which would just be a new muffler with or without cat you should expect at least a 25% difference above that improvement. however with all modifications that are single such as this your going to notice the sound and throttle response more then anything. if your looking for some major power gain you're exhaust isn't that important until your motor is putting down some serious power.

the more power your car makes the more your exhaust affects it. the tpi motor really responds well to a single out 3" exhaust. but headers are going to play a role in that as well. everything is a combination but its a definate fact that the single setup is the most optimal.

Yep it being on the left is a clear clue. A 4/6 would only exit on the right. Its a style choice where function rules over style.

And I guess even then it will make it look like a sleeper to those who don't know. I remember when the 3rd gens cam out and if you saw no FI sticker and a single it was a slow POS [ Compared to my 318 Duster] but if I saw FI and duals I kept my cool to make sure it was a 305 before I get raped by a 350.
