question about fbody motorsports

i have heard bad things about f body motorsports/thirdgenresource in the past. i am getting ready to place a pretty big order of restoration parts for my car and they have everyhing i need, hawks does not.
should i take a chance with $1000+ order with these guys?

why would you want to risk your money especially if it is that much? My advice, don't.

I've dealt with them and it took me more than three weeks to get the part. And I don't care about the time. What really sucks is that every time I called, I was lyed to. First they told me the part is in stock, then it wasn't, then it was in stock again. It took them several weeks to finally ship it, and yet it took them less than 12 hours to post a charge to my credit card.

Bottom line is that they don't really care about 3rd gen guys or customer service. They've done everything possible to drive people away and that is why they've already been banned from this forum as sponsors.

Especially with big order, that's even more chances that something they ship you will be missing or not right and then you will be posting here again like so many others before you.

as I've said, stay away. I would rather shop other places and pay several times for shipping then going back to those guys just because "they say" they have everything

I've never dealt with Hawk's and they seem a bit pricey for things I looked for, but I've heard nothing but excellent feedback from people who bought stuff from them.

If you are not in a hurry, you can try ordering bare essentials from tgr, but you've been warned.

btw, don't know if you noticed this, but they have several names for the same company because they have such a bad rep. Then again, eventually most people do get their stuff eventually

I am the last person to ever recommend that company to anybody (I was the one who petitioned to have them removed as a sponsor here), but they didn't change their name because of business practices. The fact is, they don't care about the third-gen customer base because they deal mostly with fourth gen parts, hence changing their name from Third-Gen Resource to F-Body Motorsports. They do carry lots of thirdgen parts, mostly used, but I wouldn't send a cent to those [expletive deleted]s ever again.

My recommendation: call Hawk's and explain your situation. They usually can get parts that you need that aren't listed on their website. Let us know what happens.

You should place your money at Perry Pam. He has almost anything and hes fast and reliable . About 8 workdays to send it to Sweden compared to fbody motorsport that first charge you twice for the same item and then it takes 2-3 months to get what you payed twice for. I still havent been refunded my 60 dollars after almost 12 months.

Heres the Url: http://www.perrypam.com/

Idk, i cant praise hawks. Yesterday i got a JCwhitney catalog in the mail and on the front page is a clip that says "10% off orders oveer $80 and 15% off orders of $200" I called hawks to see if they would match this, and they simply laughed at me and said haha no and hung up. I would stick with 1Aauto.

Bruce Hawkins is the owner there and is a great guy. He seems to hire some pretty bad phone people at times, though.

I can't say if he would say yes or not, but it doesn't hurt to ask him yourself. If the person that answered literally laughed at you and hung up the phone, I would bring that up, too.

You want a small business, specializing in parts for your car to match the prices of some giant warehouse full of junk ? AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ...

no wait , AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Some people are just rediculous.

Hey next call them up, tell them walmart has some items on clearance for 75% off, ask them whats in the 75 off bin.
