He is very serious when it comes to his business, and when it comes to a business like his that involves family, that's even better. You won't find that at Pep boys or Wal-mart.
As for you chumps bashing him, Are you human or do you need to be sent back to your planet? The next time you screw up or make a gods honest mistake ar get behind on anything including a tiny little bill at blockbuster, I hope someone is right there to kick you right square in the nutz. And the next time you try to find a 25 year old part in good shape, you'll wish you were a little more mature because chances are, you'll want to be calling him. If you haven't noticed, the price of scrap steel has doubled this past year, salvage yards are crushing anything that weighs over 2800 lbs. in no time flat, if this continue's for another year, where will you be when it comes to getting that part? Guess who's going to have it?
If you think his service is bad, you haven't dealt with the others North of him in Charlotte now have you? Not mentioning names, but I've dealt with them in the past and it was a joke.
Keep up the Killer work Bruce, screw these spoiled kids that have a silver spoon stuffed in their mouths, let them find it elsewhere, and as for them hurting your business, you don't have a thing to be concerned with, by the way, have you noticed a decrease in sales from these posts yet??? Didn't think so!
Thanks for doing what you do to keep these F-Bodies rollin!!!!! Joe

Thanks for doing what you do to keep these F-Bodies rollin!!!!! Joe | I hope this was not towards me......... I had every right to say what I said. as far as my purchase. yes... bruce was very nice to me but, I am still waiting for the refund for shipping and my gear to come back. (so I can make the 21 tooth gear) is this bashing? no just plain and simple what is going on. this is just good old feedback
now the first poster should have said what happened. and leaves me to think bruce did nothing wrong since he won't say what happend
I for one am leaving replys on how it is going and that is all. if you don't like it too bad this is just how it happened. I have ALL the e-mails if you really don't belive me
as a note this place really went down hill the past few years... you can't leave truthful statments on here with out getting jumped on.
last time I checked this board was just for feedback on vendors not some love fest. I was going to give bruce another shot but the way this thread is going makes me think otherwise just in the way people respond on here. |

Car: '89 rs convertible Engine: wimpy 305 tbi Transmission: wimpy 700r4 auto | Bruce knows me very well , I've spent over 4500.00 in parts from him over several different occasions , always got my parts and they were exactly as promised. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Hawk's and I will buy from them again with total confidence.

I probably should have called them anyway but i was too excited about how cool the spoiler was. Also, bought a fender and a ground effect from hawks. The shipping sometimes can take a while but really it was faster than what i expected. So, overall I give Hawks a rating of 9.3 on a 10 point scale. Oh and my next hood will be from Hawks Third Gen... | I got my cowl induction hood (a couple of years ago) from Hawks for my 1994 Trans Am, they actually told me before shipping to inspect the hood before the driver leaves because if it is damaged, I was not to accept the hood. The driver waited while I inspected the hood and it was perfect. |

Car: '91 Formula Engine: 350 Transmission: TH350 built Axle/Gears: 3.73 | I certainly recommend Hawks. Sure, sometimes it's hard to get a hold of him because they are busy, sure, sometimes you get the wrong part for whatever reason, but Bruce is always willing to treat you fairly and make sure you are satisfied in the end. You just need to be persistent and conscientous enough to call and get through and talk to they guy.
I bought over $1000 worth of body parts to repair my sons' firebird. The body shop guy said the hood was to warped to use. I sent pics to Bruce showing this and he credited my credit card for the price of the hood. He spent plenty of time with me making sure I got all the little pieces I neede for the repair.
Hey nothing is perfect, but Im sure glad Hawks thirdgen is there. |

There was a little mix up on the seat covers I ordered, (got the notchback rear style seat covers instead of the regular GTA seat covers)simple mistake. I called Bruce and got the mistake fixed and the correct ones sent to me very quickly. I couldn't complain about how bruce handled the situation. I recommend them to anybody. He does have alot of hard to find parts and also takes the time to work with companies to get discontinued parts reproduced. I will be ordering ALOT more parts from them for my 91 RS convertible in the future.

I personally Will be purchasing a lot from them.. When I work on my 01 Z 28 Hawks will be the ones i take it to. When I buy weather stripping and the like for my 89 convertible and 92 hdtop they will be the ones i purchase from. I dont see how everyone thinks you will get PERFECT service from anyone.. Yes, there may be mistakes, we're all human, but at least they do their best to fix things. I met both bruce and his wife last year at G9, they were real cool to talk to .. true enthusiasts.. I cant wait till i get my hawks parts, and my hawks front window banners on my cars! (i need thee if you feel like donating them to me Bruce! )

Car: '88 Firebird, '85 Trans Am Engine: 2.8 V-6, 305 Transmission: Automatics in both | With owning two Firebirds, I have purchased ALOT of parts off of Hawks.... The only complaint I've ever had with them is sometimes shipping takes a little longer than expected... But for a place that has parts other places wish they could get... its worth the wait. I've found that if you call/email them with a concern, they are more than happy to help you out.

Car: '84 Recaro Trans Am Engine: 350 H.O. Transmission: 700r4 | I'm really glad I looked at this thread specifically and to a lesser extent quite a few others related to Hawk's. I've been perusing the site for a long time JUST ABOUT to click on the new front spoiler for my '84 and a bunch of other random parts, but I've always had an excuse not to (aka "I don't have time to put them on, I can't afford it, etc. etc."). Thanks to this thread, I'll be making my first serious parts purchase for my T/A through Hawk's. I love those seats and would be more than willing to throw some buck-a-roonies down for 'em.
Hehe, this means you'll be getting an order for a spoiler soon, Bruce |

He let me come up and test drive the car it was in, and then removed everything I needed to pick up. He even threw in a couple of things for free.
He got me the flywheel I needed, and then I bought the entire rear disc brake setup off him....
Pretty reasonable guy, I think.
I work for a distribution company. We ship large LCD and Plasma TVs....things don't always go as expected with these shipping companies.
And definitely when you deal with large items and high volume. You can spend all day just trying to track down 1 thing or get an issue resolved...then throw in a few upset customers.....

Car: 1984 Firebird S/E Engine: 350 V8, 4 barrel carb Transmission: 700 R4 automatic overdrive | I have had dealings with Hawks and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. I recently bought some recovered seats from them and they arrived in excellent shape and very quickly. I would purchase from them again without hesitation. By the way, the seats I bought were viewed by our insurance representative when I was seeking a stated value on the car for insurance purposes. He really liked them and when I told him where I got them from, this guy knew exactly who I was talking about. Evidently others he has run into have used Hawks to restore their cars as well. Sounds like a vote of confidence to me!

I purchased a fog light for my '97 SS and paid with my credit card. Unfortunately my credit card company mistook two small purchases of gas and a big purchase at a merchant as a possible credit card theft. They locked down my card. I didn't find out about it until during the weekend. I took care of everything on Monday and Hawks got my parts to me extremely quick.
Thanks Hawks.

(not including shipping) and I have to say I'm extremely pleased with the parts I got, and the delivery time (me being in Canada that is an issue sometimes). Also their customer service reps over the phone are VERY friendly I spoke with this lady and she was very kind to help me choose the right items to purchase for my car, and also what NOT to purchase. Any other company would have just said "yeah that's good buy that".
So as of now, I have great respect for them and plus to me they are one of the best third gen companies that exist on the planet! We should appreciate that they are there for us when we need.

I made one of the initial comments complaining about slow email responses and I would like to redact that statement now. I have since bought several 1993-specific parts for my fourth gen from Hawks that I couldn't find anywhere else. The entire buying experience was pleasant and quick. The woman who answered the phone and took my order was very friendly and polite, the parts were packaged very well and arrived here in Canada in less than a week and the used gauge cluster I purchased was in perfect condition, just as Bruce had stated. In the near future when I start reassembling the Iroc, I WILL be buying from Hawks again. |

I had made a rather large order of interior parts, door parts, and a few other things... I had received the package but didn't have the time to check everything thoroughly, until the time came where I was rebuilding my doors and replacing interior stuff, I realized two items were nowhere to be found... I checked the box a zillion times, and came to the conclusion that they must have forgot to send them, so I contacted them about the issue and right away Bruce replied to me promply and promised to look into it and a day later they are sending to two items to Canada free of shipping charge! Incredible company I've never seen a company deal with a client like this before!!! I'm speechless...
I'm doing an LS1 swap soon and the places that do it here in Montreal, Canada want around 20,000$ for the complete swap, so it looks like i'll be paying a visit to them in South Carolina sometime soon! Hehehe...
