Disappointed with autographics.com (3rd Gen supplier)

Received my 5.7 LITER H.O outlined hood decals in the mail from autographics.com

Wanted to give some feedback on this product...

1) Customer service was very poor. I emailed them twice with a simple question, never got a response.

2) Decals are homemade quality, not professional grade. I cannot use these decals on a hood I paid $500 to have painted. The cut machine used to make these decals must be low grade. There are burrs all over the decals, no where near OEM quality. Much of the font thickness changes throughout the decal. I would be embarrassed to put this on my car.

3) The decal was cut out so close I could never apply it without touching the decal. There was no extra left to hold on to for maneuvering for position upon application. There is no reason to trim the backing that close.

4) Took a month to receive my order, too long for such a small item in my opinion. I inquired about my item at the 3 week mark, got no response.

Disappointed customer. Looks like I'm going to have to have my buddy at a sign company make them. Total waste of time & money.

How about a full size hoodbird that compensates for a power bulge hood? Other wise its painting time with a projector from the school.

Which autographics do you mean?
This one, AutoGraFics Decals ?
Be cause I have to order RS stripes and if the quality is poor, I won't order them.

Check out www.decalking.com. A lot of IROCZone.com members have bought from them and had nothing but good things to say. Their decals are GM Licensed.

I think he typed it out wrong, autographics.com is decals for motorcycles, autografics.com is the one that supplies 3rdgen decals. They do have a bit of a bad name, if you read this thread and go through it there is a couple of overlapping pictures that pretty much clearly show that he shows images of other products to represents his and he's pretty much a jerk. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/af...m-i-think.html (AutoGraphics.com... I think he's giving me the run around)
For the most part, he could really give a crap about his customers, ships stuff out very slowly, steals other people's images, and if you check his ebay feedback you'll see that every negative feedback he's gotten is somehow the customer's fault and there is quite a large amount.

I disagree,When I had my formula 350 repainted I bought the decals from
autografics.com. Yes it did take a little over three weeks-but the decals were perfect.Great match!

So far, so dissapointed.

What basically happened with me is I spent $50+ a few months ago for a complete IROC-Z decal set in silver metallic.

Abouth a month ago I decided on black and e-mailed him asking if an exchange was possible, he (Chuck) personally e-mailed me back and said yes that would be fine.

So I sent them and now have NO decals or my $50, in fact he would owe me the standard black door decals and $20, because that's all I will need.

I have sent many unanswered e-mails including the tracking number that showed the package delivered to him and I still have no response.

I'm fairly sure he just sent my silver metallic decals to another sucker for $50 and added me to his ever growing blocked list.

I wouldn't recommend them to any TGO member and I take it I will get my black decals from decalking as they might actually send them to me and respond to an e-mail. I'm getting my car painted soon and this delay is only procrastinating that.

There's a reason why you're banned.

Does anyone make good formula decals? I've seen the kit's for $120-$140 from hawks and year one, but that's a little pricey if you ask me.

Pheonix have a quality product and very good service. I recently purchased a 5.7 HO air cleaner decal they sent a 5.0 by mistake, they exchanged it with apologies ... I HAD THE REPLACEMENT IN UNDER A WEEK! Did I mention I live in Canada, anyone dealing on E-bay having parts shipped from the U.S. understands just how good that is.

I decided to look at "chuck's" old S/N on ebay. I noticed it LOOKED like he was doing good with 98.8 positive, but then I started looking through the pages of positives, ALL OF THE POSITIVES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME ANSWER FROM EACH USER?? Some say seller, some say buyer, but they're all copies, and hundreds of his feedback are like it (except the negatives, haha) somethings up with his feedback, is he using phished IDs to make his old one look better? Thats all I can think of.

Ummm.. You're linking to feedback he left for others.. I too copy and paste my feedback replies, guess I'm a bad seller as well.

FWIW, I got mine from Autografix and had no issues what so ever. Quality was great, I paid for expedited processing and had them within a week.
To the original poster, I can't comment on the quality you received but if you apply the decals with soap and water you can cut the backing right to the vinyl if you wanted to. I can't imagine trying to dry apply a decal.

Yes, chucks bying seems a bit loony aswell.... 5 Levi's just the last month....? Might be legit, but seems a bit skechy the whole guy if you ask me. And I read through that LONG thread where one customer complained about him, and it was just a VERY long runaround...

Sending money to a guy like that and a company like autografics, would be the same as throwing it out the window, hoping someone would actually throw a product back!

You might get lucky though ;-) Seems the problems only starts when everything don't go perfectly, thats when your fuked.

That is correct, I typed it wrong, it's AutoGraFics Decals

And yes, doesn't reply to emails, takes a month to receive it, and it's junk.

There is nothing to disagree with. He doesn't respond to emails, takes forever to receive your decals, and they are junk cut from a cheap garbage machine. Here is the proof...

There is nothing to debate. Look how horrible the cutting is, it's terrible! I could have done better with a razor blade freehand. When I bought the decals from AutoGraFics Decals I thought I was getting a professional product, not a home-brewed decal.

I had a friend of mine at a sign company redo mine, cut on a "professional commercial grade machine" and came out perfect.

If you want a hack-job, don't mind waiting a month, and don't care about customer service, then buy from AutoGraFics Decals. If you want a quality product and service then buy from somebody else.

Phoenix Graphics is a long standing professional company with a very good reputation. Industry leader.

Most sign companies can make high-grade vinyl graphics. I've had all mine done at such places.

Wow. I just read that thread. That guy seems like a A$$hole. He argues with phoenix graphix. I the PG is very good, I bought a decal from them. A couple of months later, it was starting to peel off. They had asked my how I put it on, and said i followed there directions to the T. The had asked for a pic, so I sent it to them. The next week i got a new bird decal from them. They have very good CS!!!

autografics SUCKS so BAD

i feel bad for the people who dont get a chance to read these opinions before they do business with such a ****TY COMPANY

let me tell you it started from day one, when i actually attempted to purchase a few items.

They woudnt take my credit card... which normally works everywhere...

I hate PAYPAL , PAYPAL is a FRAUD, its the worst customer service based company, PAYPAL is a TERRIBLE COMPANY, go check it out for your self LOL, they suck bad.

So because autografics use's PAYPAL to authorize thier credit cards, they didnt even get a chance to make money offf of ME!!

But then i try to tell them about this problem, and find out another means of payment, i never got an email back.. LOL.. i think they have monkeys working over there...

i dont need to even tell anymore stories about my adventure's with www.autografics.com/

They SUCK bad.. and they dont like to make money, or make quality parts, its obvious that NO ONE likes they, so ...

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AUTO GRAFICS
