Sears Craftsman Club

I just wanted to let everyone know about the Sears Craftsman Club.
You sign up on-line and they will send a membership card. They then send out a sale paper in the mail that is good during the second week in the month.
Here are some example of things that I have bought.
Portable table saw #21829 Reg $449.99 Sale $369
Torque wrenches Reg. $74.99 Sale $54.99

Here are some example of things that I have bought at reg price and they have since gone on sale.
33 gal compressor I paid $329 on sale this month $269.99
Aluminum jack I paid $199 on sale this month $149.99

I have had problems getting my monthly sale paper. (They have them at the store if you want to take a look)

Sign up at Craftsman

BTW I am NOT associated with Sears!

Chris

you do know in some states you can bring in a coupon or sales paper that is still valid and present it to them (with your original receipt of course) and they must compensate you for the difference you paid.

My fiancee would kill me if I done that. She has enough trouble keeping me away from there now (trying to redo the garage!) I will have to look into it though

At least she's only your fiancee. Maybe you should fix that while you still can... only kidding. I'm sure you both recognize the importantce of budgeting.

Used to be, not sure if still is, but you could go into Sears, buy a tool, show them your CC Card, and get 10% off.

Yeah, that is usually how it works - you show your card and get an additional 10% off the sale price. But just during the period noted in the sale paper and it doesn't always apply to every single item. But sometimes you even get a bigger discount depending on how the sale is setup. And also, the sale paper usually has about 5 things that are actually 50% off. So it is a great deal!

Oh, and my girlfriend and I both have our own cards - so she doesn't mind one bit obviously. So you could fix that as mentioned...Ha!

DaytonaPaceCar,

Thanks for the complement. Have you found the South Central Forum?
Lots of guys from Houston on there. It looks like you are south of houston?

gpbtt,

I am glad you found this useful and maybe save some money.

KWIK84,
I bought two of the nice metal cabinets and a work table w/peg board for my garage and I absolutely love them. It is nice to be able to close the cabinet doors and not see junk.

Sorry to rain on everybodys parade, but the Craftsman Club is not what it used to be. The only thing that is 10% off now is what ever is featured in the flyer they send out. It clearly states it right on the front of the flyer. Gone are the days of 10% discount on anything with the Craftsman Name.
