Heres the situation I've got a 358 that has been dynoed at 530 horsepower and 610 ft. pound of torque. Im wondering if anyone has had good luck with their performance engine mounts, like durability and body shake. I need some input because Im not sure where I want to go with this. I was thinking solid but my car will be a daily driver so I am not sure I want my brain smaking my window every time I take off. But I dont know what material I should go for polyurethane or other. If you are concerned with vibration I would go with energy suspension or prothane poly mounts, Summit Racing carries both brands.. Poly mounts are a good compromise of strength vs. vibration. They won't rot and sag like the stock rubber mounts and are more stiff but don't transfer engine vibrations like solid mounts will. I've been happy with my poly mounts and have had no trouble. Energy suspension summit part # ENS-3-1116G $24.95 each. I would also suggest going to a poly trans mount, they have a kit that has a poly trans mount and engine mounts together ENS-3-1130G $57.69. Thats the best deal if you need a trans mount too.

It is my understanding that the poly mount will raise the overall hieght of your engine like 1-1.5" but Im not sure. I install poly mount for the engine and trans and it did seem to raise it a little. Just some more information.

I'd wouldn't be concerned with just the "take off". With a cam that'll make 530hp in a 358, I'd be worried about scrambling your brain just idling with that kinda lope. I'd stay away from solid on a daily.
